I am the vine, you are the branches. In me you will bear much fruit, but you can do nothing apart from me. John 15:5

4.15.12 Sermon

In preparation to preach, a man will often spend hours studying a text of scripture with two goals in mind:

1) to rightly grasp what God has said, and therefore to accurately present God’s word and not his opinion
2) to allow the text to read him in order to be personally impacted

In the same fashion, we as listeners ought to prepare our hearts to hear God’s word through prayer and studying the passage.

We will look at the first part of Luke’s description of the early church in Acts 2:42-44. Praying for you all.
